The Office of Admissions is hosting a spring open house for admitted and waitlisted candidates on Monday, April 7, 2025. The open house will take place in person in Philadelphia. We look forward to meeting you!

Registration is required. Register here by April 3.

The tentative schedule is as follows.

  • 8 AM - 9 AM: Registration and Continental Breakfast
  • 9 AM - 10 AM: Welcome
  • 10 AM - 12 PM: Department Overviews
  • 12 PM - 1:30 PM: Lunch with Faculty
  • 2 PM - 5:30 PM: Concurrent Information Sessions and Tours
    • Your Career After Graduate School
    • Financial Aid Information Session
    • Fabrication Lab Tour
    • Advanced Research and Innovation Lab Tour
    • Fisher Fine Arts Library, Common Press, and Materials Library Tour
    • Architectural Archives Tour
    • Research Centers Panel
  • 5:30 PM: Happy Hour

Due to space restrictions, we are unable to accommodate guests. Your guests are welcome to explore Penn and Philadelphia for the day. Thank you for understanding.

Please note the open house is fully in-person in Philadelphia; there is no livestream component and sessions will not be recorded. 

PhD/MS in Architecture (not MSD or M.Arch) and PhD in City and Regional Planning candidates should reach out to their graduate group chair to schedule a visit:

Directions to Campus
The open house will begin at 8 AM with registration in Meyerson Hall (210 South 34th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 – corner of 34th and Walnut Streets). Directions to campus are available on our website. Parking is extremely limited in the area; please allot extra time if you drive. Visit Penn's Transportation and Parking website for parking options. Local Accommodations
There are several hotels in the immediate area. Visit Penn's travel website for a list of hotels. This is not an exhaustive list. VisitPhilly offers more information on hotels in Philadelphia.

Accessibility Accommodations
If you require any accessibility accommodation, such as live captioning, audio description, or a sign language interpreter, please email news@design.upenn.edu. We require at least five (5) business days' notice.

Dress Code and Luggage
There is no formal dress code for the open house. It will be a long, busy day so we encourage you to dress appropriately and comfortably based on the day's schedule. Please check the weather before traveling. Spring weather can be unpredictable! We are unable to store your luggage on campus. Please make prior arrangements to store luggage.
