The Historic Preservation Program held their annual picnic on Sunday, May 3rd to celebrate the close of the spring semester. Students, faculty, staff, along with family, friends, and pets gathered at The Woodlands and enjoyed a beautiful day on the lawn. It was sunny and warm, and everyone had the chance to relax and spend the afternoon together before summer activities start. The Woodlands and Jessica Baumert were very accommodating, and the historic site is ideal for a party of preservationists.
At the picnic, Suzanne Hyndman’s upcoming retirement was officially announced. After organizing a wonderful event for the program, she received flowers and everyone’s congratulations. For 22 years, Suzanne has guided the Historic Preservation program through every semester, lecture, party, and trip with a smile and clipart. She’s always generous with her time, advice, and knowledge, and puts her whole heart into her work. Suzanne makes the Historic Preservation office and program a better place, and we wish her a happy retirement. We will miss not having her in the office every day, and insist that she come back often to visit.
All the best Suzanne, and thank you for everything!
