PennDesign has been named the Top School for Landscape Architecture by AZURE magazine, Canada’s leading design publication.
Along with a renowned faculty, the Department of Landscape Architecture is noted for “a wealth of subspecialties in areas like advanced digital modelling, global biodiversity, urban ecology and brownfield regeneration ensur[ing] that students aren’t limited in their interests.”
AZURE’s editors also cite the fact that the program was “an early breeding ground for key movements such as ecological design and landscape urbanism,” in reference to the work of pioneering faculty like Ian McHarg, Laurie Olin, and James Corner.
