Penn Landscape hosts Urban Ecology Research Roundtable.

On the 6th of February over 20 leading researchers and practitioners in the rapidly emerging field of Urban Ecology met at Penn to discuss future directions and challenges for improving the ecological performance of our cities. The roundtable builds on the landscape department’s successful 2014 launch of a new subject on urban ecological design principles.  Urban Ecology is co-taught by Nicholas Pevzner and Stephanie Carlisle, the editors of Penn’s e-journal Scenario. Chair Richard Weller noted that "as it has in the past, the Penn landscape program will function as a hub for interconnecting the sciences and the arts on this critical issue.”
