Education Background: Bachelor of Architecture '25 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
How did you get interested in your field?
I moved around a lot growing up and fell in love with house hunting. My interest was sparked in residential architecture until I started my Bachelors and realized architecture is so much more! I fell in love over and over again.
What was your background prior to coming to Penn?
I was pursuing my bachelor's at RPI where I fell in love with exploring materiality and how design can evolve from the behavior of materials themselves. I have designed various building typologies with different design processes that have diversified my design approach.
Why did you choose Penn?
I chose Penn because the pedagogy and methodology of the MSD-AAD program are very unique and necessary to the discipline. I was drawn to how the program values material innovation, research, and design experimentation. It is a place where I can expand my understanding and design with a community that values attention to detail.
What do you like best about Philadelphia?
The food scene and skyline views have exceeded my expectations. I also love how aesthetic and lively Penn's campus is.
What kinds of activities and/or organizations are you involved in?
I am involved in Raices, an organization open but not limited to Latinx students in Weitzman, where we host social and professional events. We’d love for you to join us in our growing community!
What are your career ambitions?
With the knowledge I acquire from the program, I hope to deepen my pedagogy as a future professor and firm owner.
