Mario Carpo is Reyner Banham Professor of Architectural History and Theory, The Bartlett, UCL, London. His research and publications focus on the relationship among architectural theory, cultural history, and the history of media and information technology. Presented by the Department of Architecture on Monday, November 9, 2015, his talk at PennDesign was entitled "The New Science of Data: Simulation, Optimization, and Structural Form-Finding."
