How did you get interested in your field? Early exposure to the design field created a clear and purposeful path that I have followed since adolescence.
What was your background prior to coming to Weitzman School? Before continuing my academic journey at Penn I worked as an intern architect in Washington, DC.
Why did you choose Penn? Penn became my primary choice because of the level of investment offered to the students by the faculty.
What has been your favorite class so far? Digital Fabrication with Keith VanDerSys has been the most rewarding course for me thus far.
What are you learning right now that will help you in the future? The courses offered at Penn have reoriented how I analyze and construct designed spaces. Advanced computation and other elective courses at Penn have strengthened my representation techniques and analytic resolve.
What do you like best about Philadelphia? Philadelphia is a city with great eats and an animated art scene; I spend much of my free time exploring the diversity offered here in town.
What kinds of activities and/or organizations are you involved in? At Penn I serve as a Chair in the DiverseDesign organization.
What are your career ambitions? I aspire to work in a collaborative design agency with a socially responsible agenda that makes inspiring places from derelict spaces.
