PennDesign at the 2014 SESAH Annual Meeting

The PennDesign PhD Program in Architecture will have three representatives at the Southeast Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians Annual Meeting this week. The meeting takes place October 29-31 at the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture in Fayetteville. 

The Penn affiliated presenters and the titles of their papers are:

  • Charles Davis (PhD '09) -- "A New Vision of Democracy: William Lescaze, Social Housing, and the Americanization of the International Style"
  • Andrew R. Tripp (PhD Candidate) -- "The debate and critique of proportional composition in Postwar British Architectural Theory, a crisis of judgment"
  • Joseph M. Watson (PhD Fellow) -- "Outside Looking In: Atlanta’s Peachtree Center and the Politics of Space"
