For the second year in a row, PennDesign Master of Architecture students made a clean sweep in the HOK Futures Design Challenge. All three of the finalist spots were awarded to teams of PennDesign students:
First Place: Team Son & Lee - Jennifer Minjee Son (MArch'20) & Joonsung Lee (MArch'20)
Second Place: Team Faint Fable - Patrick Danahy (MArch'20) & Caleb Ehly (MArch'20)
Third Place: Team .MPA - Paul McCoy (MArch'21) & Madison Green (MArch'21)
Now in its third year, HOK Futures invites Philadelphia-area architecture students to compete for internships and cash prizes. The three finalists presented their entries to local design and development professionals at an awards ceremony in HOK’s Philadelphia office on Tuesday, February 19. This is Danahy and Ehly's second year as finalists.
The 2018 finalists were also all PennDesign students:
First Place: “River Gate” by John Dai (MArch'20) and Xiangyu Chen (MArch'20)
Second Place: “A Fantastical Fiction of the Lighthouse’s Furnace” by Patrick Danahy (MArch'20) & Caleb Ehly (MArch'20)
Third Place: “Non-End” by Yefan Zhang (MArch'19) and Yi Zhang (MArch'19)
