Winka Dubbeldam Featured in Architectural Design

Miller Professor and Chair Winka Dubbeldam and her firm Archi-Tectonics are featured in the latest issue of Architectural Design: “Beauty Matters: Human Judgement and the Pursuit of New Aesthetics in Post-Digital Architecture.” ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

In the article, Winka shares her current interest in “massive architectural objects, as opposed to minimal forms, that instead of being an agglomeration of orthogonal planes and straight lines, are full bodied and somewhat voluptuous.” ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

The issue is guest edited by Yael Reisner and features an interdisciplinary approach to beauty across disciplines like neuroscience, mathematics, philosophy, and architecture.
