On Friday, March 15, 2019 almost 500 students participated in the annual Design Career Connection Day in Houston Hall. This year the career fair was extended to four hours and occupied both the Hall of Flags and Bodek Lounge. There were 80 employers in attendance; eleven of these employers conducted on-site interviews the morning of the fair. They represented fields such as architecture, city & urban planning, civil engineering, conservation, design, historic preservation, landscape architecture, product design, public policy and real estate. Employers were able to view student resumes and portfolios prior to the fair on Handshake (Penn's internship and job database). Yijing Zhang (MCP'20) met with five employers at the fair and hopes to find a summer internship. She recommended students come to fair prepared with questions for employers.
