This graduate-level course investigates the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in architecture, with a focus on how AI can reshape our understanding of architectural history, design practices, and creative workflows. Building on foundational theories from the history of architecture, including seminal formal analyses like Heinrich Wölfflin's studies of Renaissance and Baroque architecture, students will explore how AI can be leveraged to analyze, catalog, and reinterpret both historical and contemporary design practices. The course will examine how AI can help us uncover and categorize architectural features—identifying patterns, discovering hidden structures, and reordering the elements that make up the architecture of today.
