Denise Scott Brown and the Weitzman School of Design invite you to a reception celebrating the life and work of Robert Venturi (1925-2018). Beyond an internationally significant legacy of buildings and writings, Robert Venturi left his mark on a generation of Penn's students. His love of life, good humor and gentlemanly disposition were a delight to his many friends and colleagues. The depth of his creative spirit; his intelligence, skill and wit; and the transformative impact he and Denise Scott Brown made throughout their work together -- not only as artists but in changing the profession of architecture -- is inspiring.
Join us for remembrances from his students, colleagues, friends, and family in the great reading room of the Fisher Fine Arts Library.
