Editors Associate Professor and Graduate Group Chair Franca Trubiano and Weitzman Alums Amber Farrow, Maria Jose Fuentes, Susan Kolber, and Marta Llor Invite speakers and book contributors Dorit Aviv, S.E. Eisterer, Lucinda Sanders, Laia Mogas Soldevila, and Rebecca Popowsky for a conversation and discussion.
Bio/Matter/Techno/Synthetics: Design Futures for the More than Human (B/M/T/S) captures and disseminates the design and intellectual work of women who create, make, and ideate at the intra-section of nature, artifice, and technology. (B/M/T/S) grounds the reader in the production and representation of emergent ecologies, non-human agency, machine learning, and responsive computation, cultivating an interdisciplinary framework for guiding the much-needed synthesis of biology, material studies, and emerging digital technologies in design.
This book project was generously supported by Dean Fritz Steiner and the Weitzman School of Design.
Join us on Wednesday April 16th, 6 PM at the Architectural Archives, Weitzman School of Design, Penn.
