Opening reception: Thursday, April 30, from 5:00 – 7:00pm (Free and open to all)
Under Scores, the 2026 Weitzman Fine Arts MFA Exhibition, features the work of eight artists completing the University of Pennsylvania’s Fine Arts program: Ana González, Cacie Rosario Jackson, Sol Kim, Dylan Li, Jingyi Ling, Noa Mori Machover, Shay Myerson, and Ambika Trasi. Working across sculpture, installation, moving image, and interdisciplinary practices, these artists engage urgent topics with sensitivity, experimentation, and formal command. The exhibition reflects the breadth and critical rigor of Weitzman’s MFA program, in which each artist develops an independent body of work grounded in sustained research, experimentation, and dialogue culminating in projects that are formally ambitious and intellectually engaged.
The annual Weitzman Fine Arts MFA Exhibition marks a key moment for emerging artists as they launch their professional careers. It also offers audiences an opportunity to encounter new work at the forefront of contemporary practice.
The 2026 Weitzman Fine Arts MFA Exhibition is curated by Emily Zimmerman, director of exhibitions at the Arthur Ross Gallery.
Gallery Hours at Weitzman to be announced.
About the MFA Program
The two-year Master of Fine Arts program at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design is focused on the professional development of studio artists. Through studio work, seminar courses, and engagement with vital working artists, the program fosters critical awareness and independent artistic research. Students extend their conceptual strategies while inventing and refining hybridized forms of art-making. The program encourages interdisciplinary exploration across the Weitzman School and the University at large through electives, certificates, and dual-degree opportunities.
