Profile

Gayoung Lee is an interdisciplinary artist with a focus on performance, installation, video, and writing. Born in South Korea, they investigate the formation of a relationship, conflict, obsession, and trauma by linguistic alienation. Lee holds a B.F.A. in painting from Seoul National University, B.A. in philosophy and B.I.S in comparative literature from Yonsei University. Lee is currently a Fulbrighter pursuing their MFA degree at the University of Pennsylvania.
