Jennifer Renée Green is a New York and Philadelphia based artist born and raised in Southeast Texas. Their research-based practice engages with expanded photography, sculpture, and performance. Green’s work is structured by their queer subjectivity and focuses on questions of opacity and the histories and politics of representation. Green deploys methods of abstraction and minimalism to take on autobiographical narratives that investigate relational dynamics, process, and the intersections of queer theory and artistic practice. She received her BFA in Photography from California Institute of the Arts, MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and is a founder and current member of PSLA, a Los Angeles based artist collective.
