The Anne & Jerome Fisher Fine Arts Library is OPEN!

The Fisher Fine Arts Library is back open on weekdays from 9am-5pm! Please see their message below:

“We will be open to the Penn community and outside visitors, and hope to expand hours during the fall semester. Please note that masks are required in the Penn Libraries for everyone, including those who are fully vaccinated.

Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center continues to be open, including the Albrecht Music Library (Eugene Ormandy Music & Media Center reopens 8/16), Lippincott Library of the Wharton School, and the Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books and Manuscripts. Please be aware that the Kislak Center Reading Room will be open by appointment only, Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. Due to facilities work, other branches in the system, such as the Penn Museum Library, will have a slight delay in reopening over the next week. Please see Libraries' locations for calendar updates https://www.library.upenn.edu/penn-libraries

Available Resources at the Fisher Fine Arts Library

• Patrons may request to pick up books at Fisher or other library locations starting on August 16. The option to choose a pickup location will show when you place a request in Franklin (Penn's catalog), EZBorrow, BorrowDirect, and ILL. Because we are just beginning to come back online and we have limited staffing, we ask for your patience as there will likely still be delivery delays.

• Current faculty, students, and staff in the United States and Canada can continue to receive Books By Mail through the fall semester.
• Current faculty, students, and staff may also Request Digital Delivery of selected book chapters and journal articles. 
• Our two seminar rooms are again bookable, with keys available for checkout at the front desk. Here is the form to book https://libcal.library.upenn.edu/reserve/fishersem. For recurring bookings, such as for a class, please contact finearts@pobox.upenn.edu.
• To view Fisher rare books, please place requests via the catalog or your Special Collections Research Account at least a business day in advance. For the time being, we will not be able to accommodate same-day requests for rare books.
• The Materials Library is by appointment only until further notice. If you wish to schedule individual or small-group visits, please request in advance using the form (also on our website and posted on our door) https://upenn.libwizard.com/f/MaterialsLibrary

Course Reserves 

Physical course reserves will return for Fall 2021. Faculty and instructors who are teaching in the fall are encouraged to submit requests as early as possible and, for electronic reserves, to follow the instructions for submitting your requests through their course Canvas site.
