On Thursday, August 16, 2018, the seventh-annual Diner en Blanc (White Dinner) was held in Philadelphia in Dilworth Park surrounding Philadelphia City Hall, and this year was the largest yet! Philadelphians have really grabbed this international tradition and have run with it, as Philadelphia's is the largest in the U.S., growing from just over 1,000 participants in the first year to approximately 5,500 this year. In case you haven’t heard of this event, you must wear only white and bring your own table, chairs, food, wine, utensils, etc. The location is always a surprise, so it is truly a pop-up affair. Dîner en Blanc originated in Paris and is held in cities around the world. You can see some photos from this year's event here, and for the foodies, some photos of the various food everyone brought can be seen here.
