Ben Carson, the secretary of Housing and Urban Development, has received a lot of attention after recenly spending $31,000 on a dining set for his office. As a result WNYC's The Takeaway asked Vincent Reina, PennDesign professor of City and Regional Planning, to speak about the scandal. In the 7 mintue Q&A Vincent discusses what the HUD's current priorities seem to be as well as the HUD's budget proposals stating that it is "problematic that funds for public housing are being cut". It is a very interesting audio clip- I would definitely have a listen if I were you! You can find the audio clip here.
