Louis Kahn, architect and Penn professor, was not able to finish his model of the National Assembly Building in Bangladesh before he died in 1974. Recently the architects responsible for seeing Kahn's project through to completion after his death have asked two conservators, including PennDesign's William Whitaker, to take a look at it and gently give it a makeover so that it can be part of future exhibitions. “This model is an incredibly important part of the design process, revealing the creative mind at work, and Kahn’s was particularly interesting,” says Whitaker.
