One of the biggest reasons as to why The Weitzman School of Design is so wonderful is because of our amazing faculty. That is why we blog about them so often! A couple of weeks ago Sharon Hayes, Weitzman MFA faculty, was featured in PennToday. We have been wanting to share the story with you and what could be a better day to do so than International Woman’s Day?! (We won’t be in the office on the 8th, so we are celebrating today).
Sharon teaches performance art and video here at Weitzman and has recently launched a pilot project with Brooke O’Harra (from The School of Arts and Sciences) called the Performance Intensive. The purpose of the project is to bring emerging performance artists together, allow for them to learn, explore and experiment for longer than a class time would allow for and to build an infrastructure research within performance.
