Doesn't everyone love fresh, locally grown veggies? (I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!) Well, unfortunately, many of Philadelphia's Urban Farmers are in trouble and have reached out to City Hall for help. The problem is that landlords suddenly appear out of nowhere to claim ownership over the property that they had previously abandoned. As our City and Regional Planning students know this topic is near and dear to PennDesign facultyDomenicVitiello'sheart. One of Vitiello's current projects is focused on Urban agriculture and poverty in the global North and South. Vitiello has also published a book on Food and Urban Agriculture.
