As many of you know SEPTA (South Eastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) is currently on strike. Philadelphia has the 5th largest overall transit system so millions of Philadelphian's, including myself, are feeling the wrath of the strike while we burn extra calories walking to work. Also, according to Wikipedia, SEPTA is one of only two U.S. transit authorities that operates all of the five major types of terrestrial transit vehicles: rail trains, subways, trolleys, trolleybusses and motorbusses. Now, lets all keep our fingers crossed that they call off the strike soon so that we can utilize these five major types of terrestrial vehicles!
On a more festive note, I wanted to share some photos from the PennDesign special Halloween Happy Hour, so be sure to click through after the SEPTA photo. And lastly this Sunday the 23rd Street Armory is hosting a bacon and beer festival- mmmm yum! If you're interested in attending click here to read more about it. And hey, with the SEPTA strike it may be nice to walk home after having a belly full of bacon and beer!
