It seems as though the country has been gearing up for the Papal Visit for months, but the official countdown is on! The Pope will arrive into Philadelphia, after short visits to Washington D.C. and New York City on September 26th. If you do not plan to attend the festivities including the parade through the city or mass, be prepared because all Philadelphians will have to deal with quite a few detours, road closings, and a very …very large amount of “guests” in the city. People from all over the country will not only be attending the events for the Papal Visit, but visiting some of our amazing landmarks and probably grabbing a cheesesteak. This is a great event that’s coming to our city bringing in huge crowds to our local businesses. And for those of you who try to contact us on Friday, be forewarned that UPenn will be closed on Friday 25th.
