The Architectural Conservation Laboratory (ACL) has received funding to help the National Park Service (NPS) with their Vanishing Treasures Program; a program that "supports the preservation of traditionally-built architecture in the Western United States, facilitates the perpetuation of traditional skills, and promotes connections between culturally associated communities and places of their heritage" (NPS).
PennDesign Professor of Architecture Frank Matero and his team are responsible for helping the NPS develop a curriculum for education and training needs that will begin in 2016. Sounds like an exciting project!
