Our incoming cohort of PennDesign students are currently looking for housing (or at least they should be!), so we wanted to take this time to highlight an amazing resource that Penn provides to its students - the office of Off-Campus Services.
While there is a graduate housing option on campus, Sansom Place, which is very convenient, most of our students choose to live off campus. The list of reasons for living off campus are many and varied, but the biggest reasons we hear from our students are #1 cost savings and #2 options, options, options. You can begin exploring your options by reviewing the Graduate Housing Guide, and then move on to the off-campus housing search to look for available apartments, rooms, houses, and even roommates.
Philadelphia is a city of unique neighborhoods with differing architecture, historic locations, parks, murals, and art installations in which our PennDesign students have been exploring, living, breathing, partnering, transforming, preserving, planning, designing for years, because that's what we do. We invite you to not only explore Philly's many neighborhoods but also consider becoming a part of the community during your time here. Who knows, you may be like one of our many alumni who came to Philly and decided not to leave after graduation!
