Of course this is the July 4th weekend, commemorating America’s independence. The Admissions Office will be closed early today and also all day on Monday. But most exciting of all, Philadelphia is set for a major celebration, it being the birthplace of our nation. If you’re in town, check out all the events here.
Something a little more off the beaten path that’s happening today at 4 pm is Auditurs Natura Terminale. Experience an ephemeral sound work under the viaduct, produced by Abby Sohn, a research-based artist. The artwork will make use of the iron structure to create a sonic experience that explores the cultural heritage and the rail site’s creative potential. Pick up your headphones in the Pop Up Garden in Viaduct Rail Park, 10th and Hamilton.
