We've posted about the Delaware Waterfront and the Spruce Street Harbor Park in the past, but we just wanted to let you all know - Friday, July 22nd is National Hammock Day and you have the chance to win a hammock if you go hang out at the waterfront on Friday night. If you are a new student and are not familiar with Penn's campus, you may not know that there are some great spots to put up a hammock and study outside on nice days, so if you are in the city already we invite you to go listen to a free, live DJ and cross your fingers that you'll win a free hammock!
Also want to make sure that you know about the Spruce Street Harbor Park Waterfront Sessions live music series featuring local musicians every Thursday night through August 25th, so even if you aren't arriving in Philadelphia until closer to the start of classes you will still have time to enjoy some free, live music at the waterfront.
