Welcome back to our blog series, Why Weitzman Wednesdays! We enjoyed hearing from students and alum so much that we decided to bring it back as a continuing monthly series. On the first Wednesday of each month, we will share a statement from a student/alum explaining why they chose Weitzman in hopes that it will help make your decision a little easier and show why Weitzman is the right choice for you!
"I chose to attend Weitzman because the City Planning program, housed within Penn’s Weitzman School of Design, reflected the interdisciplinary nature of the public-private development work I was seeing in the field after college. While I was lucky to work on exciting urban development initiatives before going to graduate school, I wanted a more formal introduction to the study of cities and an opportunity to learn the technical skills used to make decisions about which projects get built. My time at Penn fulfilled these expectations and then some, providing abundant resources for me to invest in this new area of expertise in project planning, finance, and design while forming relationships with folks across the school, university, and city at large. This experience paved the way for a rewarding career and an opportunity to deliver impactful real estate projects with tangible benefits for communities."
