PennDesign Presents David Fixler: Modern Problems
On April 12, the Graduate Program in Historic Preservation hosted a lecture by David Fixler, FAIA, FAPT, LEED AP. David's lecture initiated the 3-day program Modern Problems: Myths and Reality in the Preservation of Modern Architecture. A recording of the full lecture can be found here. Bisotun, in western Iran’s Kermanshah province, is notable for its inscription carved on a limestone cliff. "It is unique, being the only known monumental text of the Achaemenids to document a specific historic event, that of the re-establishment of the empire by Darius I the Great," according to UNESCO.
