Adobe License Tied to Email Registered With a Trial Account
Issue / Description: User is trying to register a licensed Adobe account to an email that was previously registered to a trial Adobe account.
Cause: The user registered their email or Penn email for a trial account with Adobe, with the same email being used when given a licensed Adobe account.
Resolution: You'll have to deactivate the apps installed on your computer with your account so the email is re-associated with the full license.
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to resolve this issue below:
How to deactivate Adobe Creative Cloud apps
Deactivation disconnects your app from a specific computer. Deactivating allows you to install and run apps on a new computer. (A single license for Adobe software lets you install an application on two computers. See On how many computers can I install my apps?)
Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
Launch any Creative Cloud application installed on your computer.
Choose Help > Sign Out (your Adobe ID).
In the confirmation dialog box, click Sign Out.
The Creative Cloud apps and services associated with your Adobe ID are deactivated on that computer.
You can also deactivate your Creative Cloud apps from the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Computer No Longer Available?
If the computer on which you installed your Creative Cloud app is no longer available, you can sign out from your account.
