This is an announcement for Mac users who are using the university supported LastPass password management application. Please see the message from LastPass below.

Update required for legacy LastPass Mac App users
This notice is to inform you that as of March 31st, 2024, we will no longer be supporting a version of the LastPass Mac App that some of your users have downloaded to their devices.
Why is LastPass making this change?
Security is ever-evolving, and so is LastPass. The new desktop app will provide your users with a more secure and user-friendly LastPass experience and will automatically update as new app versions are released.
Which of your users need to take action?
To avoid any disruption to their service, users meeting the following criteria will need to download the new supported version of the LastPass desktop application from the macOS App Store:
- Users who downloaded the LastPass Mac App directly from lastpass.com
- Users who downloaded the LastPass Mac App prior to June 2023
How to update to the new app:
You can assist your users in making this switch by following the instructions below that best fit your app deployment settings:
- If you allow downloads from the macOS App Store: Share this support article with users outlining the steps they can take to download the new app
- If you manage app deployments for your users: Please review this support article for the steps you can take to distribute the new app
