New Antivirus Product for Personal Devices
Faculty, Staff and Students,
On June 1, 2022, Penn’s university site-wide contract for Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) will be ending. The contract for unmanaged SEP licenses ends on May 24th, 2022. It is recommended that end-users using this license on personal devices remove SEP from their computers and transition to the new Sophos Home solution. Though endpoints will continue to provide some level of protection after the May 24th date, it will only be for a limited time and users should plan to transition away from SEP as soon as possible.
How to obtain and install Sophos:
Penn has acquired licensing to use Sophos Home. Sophos Home is a trusted antivirus platform and allows installation on up to 10 devices. For more information on where to download and install this software, please visit ISC’s Sophos webpage.
