This semester three of Penn’s landscape studios will travel to different parts of the world to focus on critical issues. David Gouverneur and Miriam Garcia will lead a studio to the Galician coast of Spain to consider urbanization and sea-level rise in that context; Chris Marcinkoski will tour new city sites in Morocco and Claire Fellman (Snohetta) will take students to Merida in Mexico to design a new park. Ellen Neises, along with Molly Bourne, Kira Appelhans and Todd Montgomery (Andropogon) are focusing on regional issues in the Lehigh Valley and Karen M’Closkey is staying in Philly to study play spaces! Also based in Philadelphia is our first year studio run by Valerio Morabito, Rebecca Popowsky and Nick Pevzner. If you wish to join us at the mid and final reviews of these studio please contact Darcy Van Buskirk.
