The Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA) has announced the CELA 2020 award winners, which honor outstanding landscape architecture professionals. CELA is composed of virtually all the programs of higher learning in landscape architecture in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Richard Weller, who is professor and chair of landscape architecture, Meyerson Chair of Urbanism, and co-executive director of The McHarg Center, was inducted into CELA’s Academy of Fellows. According to CELA, the accomplishments of a fellow “must add up to excellent endeavor sustained over an extended period of time that is truly inspiring and significant.”
Alum Karen Lutsky (MLA’11) received an Excellence in Teaching, Junior, Faculty Award. Lutsky is an assistant professor of landscape architecture at the University of Minnesota.
