In January of 2020, the Weitzman School launched the Meyerson Basement Ideas Competition. The Competition attracted 19 submissions from 27 students from four departments. They brought forward a wide variety of design proposals that were rich in ideas. The Weitzman School will present the winning proposals to Penn's Office of Facilities and Real Estate Services, which governs the basement on behalf of the University, for further consideration.
