This is a month long competition that runs from February 2nd to March 2nd that challenges campus buildings and college houses to reduce their energy consumption as much as possible. We will be judged on the energy reduction within Meyerson Hall.
Here are a few ways you can pitch in and help:
Turn off lighting when there’s enough daylight to light your room and when you’re out of your office or studio.
Use power strips to turn off computers, monitors, and printers when leaving for the day.
Unplug electronics such as cell phones and laptops once they’re charged.
Report leaking sinks, toilets, and urinals.
Set thermostats to 68 degrees and compensate weather and environmental changes with appropriate clothing.
Every week, each building’s electricity consumption will be calculated and standings results posted online. Meyerson Hall is currently in 3rd Place and we've got two weeks to go... let's do this!
