The Rebuild by Design exhibition, showcasing the work of its international design teams such as The Bjarke Ingels (BIG) Team, OMA, PennDesign/OLIN, SCAPE Landscape Architecture and WXY/West 8 a.o, will now travel to Prague. The exhibition has traveled to many locations around the world and now will be available to see for all the reSITE 2015 registered participants during the conference in Forum Karlín.
Rebuild by Design — created in 2013 by President Obama’s Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force — began as a competition seeking to address the structural and social vulnerabilities exposed by Superstorm Sandy. It connected international talent with the talent of the region to propose innovative and implementable large-scale, design-driven infrastructure emphasizing resilience rather than just rebuilding. As a result of Rebuild by Design, HUD has awarded $930 million towards making these projects a reality.
