A Message from Dean Steiner: Support Penn in DesignIntelligence Surveys
These are remarkable times at the Weitzman School of Design. From developing new materials and systems to make buildings more energy-efficient to helping cities around the country deliver effective rent relief in the wake of COVID-19, our faculty and students have never been more engaged, more productive, or more committed to a truly just and healthy world.
After pausing in 2019, in light of the pandemic and its impact on higher education, DesignIntelligence has resumed its annual survey of students and professionals about the most admired architecture and design schools in the U.S. This year, the program has been re-tooled in recognition that a “best” school, in absolute terms, does not exist. Schools’ programs will be rated based on their individual attributes and merits.
As in years past, DesignIntelligence is looking for students and professionals with hiring and/or supervising responsibility to participate in the program. So, we’re calling on alums, students, and friends to take the survey. To reflect the enduring value of a Penn education, it’s critical that as many voices from the Penn community are heard as possible.
If you are a hiring or supervising professional in a firm, you’re eligible to participate. If you are a current student in the undergraduate or graduate architecture program, or the graduate landscape architecture program, or if you earned your degree in one of those programs within the last two years, you’re eligible to participate.
Please use the link below that corresponds to your major or area of practice. The deadline to respond is Friday, July 2.
