In the spring and summer of 2018, PennPraxis worked with a group of community liaisons and residents of twenty-one neighborhoods across the city to create the Neighborhood Preservation Toolkit– a guide for communicating more broadly and building a larger, broader constituency for preservation in Philadelphia. The project coincided with, but was not a part of, the Mayor's Task Force on Historic Preservation, convened in 2017.
The draft Toolkit was released on September 20, 2018, at the Congregation Rodeph Shalom Synagogue during the Historic Preservation Task Force public meeting. The Toolkit will be finalized, translated, and released by the end of 2018. To view a draft of the Toolkit, download here. If you have feedback on the draft you wish to share, and/or wish to receive a final copy of the Toolkit, please email Molly Lester by October 1, 2018.
