Alejandra Romo is an architect and academic researcher. She received her Master of Design Studies in Building Technology with distinction from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Her research work has been published on platforms such as Elsevier, CAADRIA and SimAUD and her built work has been recognized by institutes such as Holcim Regional Awards for sustainable architecture and Cemex Foundation for innovation in design.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of frameworks of practice, participatory design, and rural transformation processes in Latin America. Her current work is focused on the study of rural and peri-urban community-led reconstruction initiatives in Southern and Central Mexican territories.
