Linfan Liu is currently a practicing architect and an editor in Philadelphia, USA. She received PhD in Architecture at University of Pennsylvania, through which her dissertation examines the use of Chinese landscape painting as a conceptual and tactical device in contemporary architectural practice. Her research interests include historical and theoretical connections between painting, architecture and landscape architecture, and the refreshing perspective in architecture through inter-disciplinary exchange.
Liu’s past training in architecture – both in China and the United States – supports her current role in practice. She is a project architect at DIGSAU in Philadelphia. She is also an overseas editor for Ruyi Space of id+c magazine.
