Dyan graduated from the Weitzman School of Design with dual master's degrees in architecture and landscape architecture in 2020. Her research interest is in the decolonization of design practice, particularly in the vulnerable coastal communities of the Global South. She was born in the Philippines and migrated to Detroit with her family while she was in high school. Prior to PennDesign, Dyan received a bachelor of science in architecture at the University of Michigan. She has worked as a designer at a variety of companies--from small residential firms to large corporate offices--including OJB Landscape Architecture and AOS Architects in Philadelphia.
