Nicole Clare is the Chief Real Estate Development Officer for Bowery Residents’ Committee (BRC), where she manages a $500 million portfolio of affordable housing developments. The BRC is a venerable non-profit in New York City that has continually reinvented itself over 50+ years. For the last 6 years, Ms. Clare has led BRC’s successful initiative to grow into a full-fledged developer of housing in order to support clients on their path from homelessness to home, and to strengthen the financial foundation of the BRC organization. Crain’s New York Business named Ms. Clare a Notable Black Leader and Executive. Ms. Clare was previously at the Settlement Housing Fund, the Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation, Economics Research Associates, Mount Airy Community Development Corporation, and New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, in a variety of roles related to areas of Praxis work. She has served on boards and in volunteer leadership roles, including the board of Highbridge Community Life Center. She received her Master of City Planning degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
