Through her work, Patty strives to encourage the public to learn from, interact with and be a steward of the processes that shape our environment. Rooted in the environmental sciences, Patty brings strong analytical skills and an understanding of natural process dynamics to inform designs.
She holds a B.S. in Natural Resources - Behavior and Policy Planning from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. She has served as an Adjunct Professor of Landscape Restoration at Philadelphia University and as a water quality monitoring instructor for the Global Rivers Environmental Education Network. Patty worked for a decade as an Associate at Andropogon Associates, LLC in Philadelphia, managing planning and site design implementation projects for both municipal and academic clients. Currently, she works for the Department of the Interior in the National Parks Service.
Patty joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design in 2017 and teaches the Plants and Planting Design Audit Workshop.
