Taylor is founder of Introduce Studio, a design-based research practice investigating questions of seriality in domestic construction. Taylor was previously a ‘Head of Studio’ at Studio Olafur Eliasson (SOE) and a founding associate of Studio Other Spaces (SOS), the architectural counterpart to Eliasson’s artistic practice. As an associate at SOS Taylor led multidisciplinary architectural projects including Common Sky at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, the Ilulissat Icefjord Center in Greenland, and Future Assembly, exhibited at the 2021 Venice Biennale: How will we live together? At SOE Taylor’s work encompassed exhibitions, installations, public artworks, digital environments, research, publications, and communications. Selected projects with SOE include The planet spins despite me stopping (2019), Seeing spheres (2019), Earth Speakr (2020), Your view matter (2022), The curious desert (2023), and Lifeworld (2024).
Taylor holds a Master of Architecture with Distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He was the recipient of the 2016 Rotch Fellowship, during which his one year of architectural and landscape-based research focused on the dispositions of natural and designed objects. Taylor has lectured at UCLA Architecture and Urban Design, the Harvard Graduate School of Design, MIT Architecture, and the Weitzman School of Design at UPenn.
