Todd Woodward is a Principal of Philadelphia based SMP Architects, a nationally recognized leader in environmentally responsible design. As Principal of SMP, he has led environmentally responsible projects for educational institutions, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Todd is a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania, teaching an annual seminar class on Ecological Architecture. He is a founding co-chair of the Editorial Board of Editorial Board of Context, the Journal of AIA Philadelphia. In 2020, Todd received the Alan Greenberger Award from AIA Philadelphia and the Community Design Collaborative, recognizing his more than 20 year commitment to the Collaborative. In addition to many years on the Collaborative’s board and advisory council, Todd was a longtime member of the Board of Directors of Mount Airy Baseball. Todd was co-editor, with Beth Miller, of the book LEVERAGE: Strengthening Neighborhoods Through Design. Todd and SMP have been involved in significant projects for Pennsylvania's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources over many years, including the Falls Visitor Center at Ohiopyle State Park, the Nature Inn at Bald Eagle State Park, and current master planning for Susquehanna Riverlands State Park, Big Elk Creek State Park, and the Conservation Leadership Training Center.
