How did you get interested in your field?
I became interested in architecture because I am fascinated by how design ideas are transformed into built form. Reading innovative and inspiring books has also deepened my passion for architecture.
What was your background prior to coming to Penn?
I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from the University of Liverpool.
Why did you choose Penn?
I chose Penn because of its innovative design culture and abundant interdisciplinary opportunities. The wide range of electives, from product and furniture design to robotics, allows me to explore beyond traditional architectural education.
What has been your favorite class so far?
My favorite class is Design Studio 601, where we focused on housing design.
What are you learning right now that will help you in the future?
Courses like Visual Studies strengthen my graphic communication, while robotics-related knowledge supports my interest in computational design. The core design studios continue to inspire my approach to both professional and independent projects.
What do you like best about Philadelphia?
Philadelphia is a very walkable city. I enjoy strolling through the beautiful campus in University City and crossing the river to explore historic buildings and neighborhoods in Center City.
What kinds of activities and/or organizations are you involved in?
I am a teaching assistant for a studio course.
What are your career ambitions?
I plan to gain experience at a large firm first, and eventually hope to establish my own practice if the opportunity arises.
