Chair of the Department of Architecture Rossana Hu and Lyndon Neri, founding partners of Neri&Hu have been honored with the 2025 Arts and Letters Award in Architecture by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. This prestigious award recognizes their exceptional contributions to the field of architecture, distinguished by a strong personal vision and innovative design.
Joining Lyndon and Rossana in this honor are Andrés Jaque and Young & Ayata, who have also been celebrated for their distinctive architectural work. Additionally, Farshid Moussavi has been awarded the 2025 Arnold W. Brunner Memorial Prize. Mark Wigley has received an Arts and Letters Award, which honors individuals who explore architectural ideas through various mediums of expression.
These awards honor both practicing architects and those who have contributed to the field through other mediums of expression. Arts and Letters' annual architecture awards program began in 1955 with the inauguration of the Arnold W. Brunner Memorial Prize and has since expanded to include four Arts and Letters awards.
This year’s selection committee comprised Meejin Yoon (chair), Elizabeth Diller, Michael Maltzan, Toshiko Mori, Annabelle Selldorf, and Nader Tehrani.The awards will be presented alongside the art, literature, and music awards at the Academy’s annual Ceremonial in May.
